Select the book that you want to send to your Kindle and click “Send to Device” from the main application window. Calibre will then show which books are on your Kindle (with a green tick) and which books have yet to be added (see image below). Plug your Kindle into the computer and wait a few moments for Calibre to recognise that a Device has been connected. You can check that it has been converted by checking the preview window for this book – it will show that it is now formatted for MOBI and EPUB. This will say “1” while it is converting and will return to “0” when the job is finished.
There are some sftp servers available for kobos (including one included with KoReader, so you could batch delete the files using a computer or a sftp app on a phone. At the bottom right-hand corner of Calibre you will notice it says “Jobs”. However the sync is only for new books, if you delete them from calibre web they won’t be automatically deleted from the forma, you’ll probably need to delete them some other way. To read this on a Kindle, select “MOBI” and then click OK (bottom right of the window), as shown below. You can choose the “Output format” from a drop down menu in the top right corner.
